THE BAND

OUR BAND OF REMARKABLE MUSICIANS

ENRIQUE CORRO

I was born in Mexico city and moved to L.A. at the age of two. My mother was in show business in Mexico, and I got the entertainment bug from her. I was always atracted to music and felt a deep passion for it. I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sulivan Show and I knew right then what my mission in life would be.

At 13 years old my grandmother bought me my first guitar. At 16 I was in a band called "Nobody's Children" where we played at the dances in all the schools in Las Vegas. I then played with "The Animals" in Los Angeles/Hollywood at The Troubadour and Whiskey A Go-Go. I also was part of an album by The Animals that was recorded and produced by Eric Burden. Then I was the band leader for 5 years in the Playboys "Girls of Rock n Roll" at Maxim Hotel in Las Vegas. I played with the American Super Stars when it first opened at the Flamigo Hilton then we moved to the Luxor and finally to the Stratosphere. I was with Earl Turner at the Rio and have played many times with various bands at the Aladdin, Caesars, Harrah's, The Bellagio, Bally's, and The Tropicana. Currently, besides working with David Van Such, I am recording with Jerry Marcelino who produced a few early Jackson 5 albums. I have also co-written some songs for Jerry Salas, lead singer with "El Chicano".

I have always loved all kinds of music and play whenever and wherever the opportunity arises.

DARIO CABALLERO

I was born in Mexico City. When I was 8 years old my sisters put together an all girl band. When they were not home my brother and I played with the instruments. That began my early interest in music. I started playing the guitar at age 12. I attended the Conservatory of Music at 16 and switched to the piano and keyboards at 17. That is when I started playing professionally.

From 1973 to 1976 I worked in Mexico City where I played with various bands and, in particular, the Super Seven Band. In 1976 I moved to Rosarita Beach, CA which allowed all the members in the band to drive to the United States and take music lessons in Studio City, CA at Dick Grove Music workshops. There we learned harmony, composition, and arranging. The band was being showcased at the Roxy Theatre by 1978.

I went back to Mexico City in 1979 and worked with famous latin artists Olga Breeskin, Arturo Castro, Jose Jose, Barda Zorra, Ricardo Cerato, Hermanas Gil, Ballet the Ema Pulido. My brother and I formed our own band of jazz-fusion called Xannate. We performed at many concerts at important places like The Conservatory of Music, Sala Ollin Yollistly, Zona Rosa, Theatre of Bellas Artes, Sala Chapel tepac.

In 1983 I moved to Orlando, FL and worked for 5 years at Disney World with a pop and rock band called Tabasco at the Tomorrowland Terrace. In 1986 the band was flown to Washington D.C. for a performance for President Ronald Reagan. I moved in 1988 to Las Vegas, NV. Some of the bands I have performed with since then are: Ces't la Vie (at the Stardust, Dunes, Freemont, California, Sam's Town, Colorado Bell, Arizona Charlie's, and Excalibur Hotels & Casinos); One Plus One (at Bally's in Vegas and Reno, Tropicana, Flamingo Hilton, and Rancho Bernardo in San Diego); Sargio Alberti as their musical director (at The Sahara, Boulder Station, Palace Station, Tropicana, Rio, and on a tour of Japan in Nageya); Hawaiin Luau (at Lady Luck, Imperial Palace, Flamingo Hilton); Trinity (at The MGM; Palace Station, Aladdin, P.T. Bars) and in 1992 we opened for the Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet; Island Tyme (at Harrah's, Flamingo Hilton, and various conventions); Michael Fitzhug (at Mandalay Bay, Paris, Caesars Palace, the Rio's Vodoo Lounge, The Stratosphere); Soul Desire (at the Luxor, Arizona Charlie's, Excalibur); Bobby Wader's Emperors (at the Luxor, Arizona Charlie's, Lady Luck, and Excalibur).

Musical influences for me were Herbie Hancock, Brecker Brothers, Chick Corea, Don Grolnick, and Oscar Peterson, to name a few. My career has allowed me to play many styles including Latin, Jazz, Reggae, Hawaiian, R & B, Pop, and Soca and I am honored to be part of such a great industry and the world of music.
